At the time of the purchase, this compact, golden brown accordion was found to be in an amazing good condition. Except that we had to renew the gasket of the bellows, the instrument had only to be cleaned. On the inside of the bellows we found a stamp that we read with: Hans (Geiser?), Meran, Laubengasse (South Tyrol / Italy). This points out that the accordion was well repaired in the meantime.
The treble disposes of 41 piano keys, 2 push switches and 3 voices. This push switch system is considered to be the precursor of the modern register switches. The bass part shows 120 buttons, 5 voices inside and one push switch.
First of all we assumed, that this accordion could be an Accordiana made by Excelsior; but regrettably that proved not to be true.

Dieses kompakte, goldbraune Akkordeon befand sich beim Kauf in einem erstaunlich guten Zustand. Bis auf die Erneuerung der Balgdichtungen brauchte es nur noch gereinigt werden.
Eine an der Innenseite des Balgrahmens befindliche Stempelung lautet: Hans (Geiser?), Meran, Laubengasse. Dies weist darauf hin, dass das Instrument zwischenzeitlich wohl repariert wurde.
Die Diskantseite verfügt über 41 Pianotasten, 2 Registerschalter und beinhaltet 3 Chöre. Diese 2 Druckschalter können als Vorläufer der modernen Registerschaltungen betrachtet werden.
Auf der Bass-Seite befinden sich 120 Knöpfe, denen 5 Chöre zugeordnet sind, sowie 1 Druckschalter.
Die Annahme, dass es sich bei dem Akkordeon um eine Accordiana Excelsior handelt, konnte leider nicht bestätigt werden.

Exepto que tuvimos que renovar las juntas del fuelle, el instrumento tan sólo tuvo que ser limpiado. En el interior del fuelle hubimos encontrado una estampilla que leímos con: Hans (Geiser?), Meran, Laubengasse (Tirol Sur / Italia). Esto indica que el instrumento entretanto ya fue reparado.
El tiple dispone de 41 teclas, 2 registros de presión y 3 voces. Estos registros de presión pasan por ser los precursores de los modernos cambios de registros. La parte del bajo muestra 120 botones, 5 voces en el interior y 1 registro de presión.
Nuestra primera suposición fue, que este acordeón pueda ser una Accordiana – hecho por Excelsior; pero desgraciamente esa imaginación nos resultó no digno de fe.
